Estate Administration

Estate administration is the process of settling a person’s financial and legal affairs after death. We guide executors and administrators through their responsibilities, including gathering assets, addressing debts and taxes, and distributing property under a will or applicable law. Our goal is to make the process understandable and manageable while easing the burden on families during a difficult time.

Trust Administration

A trust allows property to be held and managed by a trustee for the benefit of designated beneficiaries. Trust administration involves managing that property and carrying out the trust’s instructions, whether during the creator’s lifetime or after death. We help trustees understand their responsibilities, address recordkeeping and tax requirements, and make distributions in accordance with the trust’s terms and applicable law.

As a lifelong resident of the Alle-Kiski Valley, I take pride in serving the community I have always called home. After graduating from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia in 1982, I welcomed the opportunity to begin practicing in my own community. For more than 40 years, I have concentrated on estate planning and the administration of estates and trusts.

My goal is to provide affordable, professional legal services with personal attention and clear explanations. Whether preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives or helping a family settle a loved one’s estate, I strive to make unfamiliar legal matters easier to understand and manage. I value the relationships built through this work and the trust clients place in me during important moments in their lives.

Associate Attorney

Adam W. Coury

After earning degrees in Computer Science and Finance, I chose to pursue a career in law and join my father in practice. I began my legal studies at Duquesne University School of Law in 2019 and became a licensed attorney in October 2022.

My background in finance and technology brings an analytical and practical perspective to my legal work. I approach each matter with attention to detail and a focus on understanding what the client wants to accomplish. Whether assisting with an estate plan, a business matter, or a property transaction, my goal is to explain the available options clearly and help clients make informed decisions.

Working alongside my father allows me to build on his decades of experience while contributing my own perspective to our practice. Together, we are committed to providing approachable, dependable legal services to individuals, families, and businesses in our community.
